Come and Join OBBA at the annual Spring Meeting at Brukner Nature Center in Troy, Ohio.

Various speakers on bird banding, avian research, or environmental issues related to birds will present papers, research, and/or programs for those in attendance.

The OBBA Business Meeting will also take place immediately following lunch.

Students are welcomed, Professors are encouraged to bring their ornithology, zoology, etc. classes. Meeting registration is waived for students. Pack a lunch, or register by the deadline for the OBBA provided meal ($6/person) and enjoy the meeting and comradery!

1000 - 1045 Brukner Center Presentation - history, video. Bob Brill, Co-director

1045 - 1115 Tour of Brukner Grounds/Open Forum

1115 - 1200 Important Bird Areas (IBA) and Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative (OBCI), John Ritzenthaler

1200 - 1300 LUNCH

1300 - 1430 OBBA Business Meeting (everyone welcome)

1430 - 1530 Spatial Autocorrelation of Ohio Landbirds, Troy Wilson

1535 - 1630 Band Manager Practice/Hand-On Workshop/Open Forum & BIRD SKIN QUIZ (skins on loan from David Russell, PhD, Miami University)

                    1630 - 1700 Clean-up, Departure

Students attending with a professor, OBBA member, or just by themselves are welcomed to attend and need not pay registration fees. Just include your school name when signing in at the meeting. Students may pack a lunch or pay for a lunch provided by OBBA (please pre-register for lunch).
