The Ohio Bird Banding Association is affiliated with many
research projects through its members. Many, many projects have
been conducted over the past 21 years since OBBA's beginning. As
the data becomes available, it will be added to this site. Until
then, the information at the link below represents the only
"ongoing" research project identified as an OBBA
project. That project is our annual Spring Bandout which has
been going since 1984.
The location of the project is the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau of central Ohio in the Hocking Valley. More specifically, the Clear Creek Valley in Hocking Hills. Many banders have gathered here on the last full weekend of April to band early migrants returning to their summer breeding grounds.
